Home-away-from-home, A Visitor’s Haven deserves a 5 star rating…
In my opinion, the Haven deserves a 5 star rating. The Haven was home-away-from-home for my husband & daughter while I had surgery at RiverBend Hospital. Not only is it nicely decorated with modern touches, it has everything a person needs, just like home, including comfortable beds & washer & dryer. And it is CLEAN!… Read more “Home-away-from-home, A Visitor’s Haven deserves a 5 star rating…”
The calm after the storm …
A Visitor’s Haven was truly “the calm after the storm”. It’s a perfect place for recovery ~ fully furnished and the sun shining in is good for the soul. The mission of this Haven met our great needs and we are forever blessed and thankful.
Knowing our parents are safe and comfortable at A Visitor’s Haven…
Thank you again for all your love and support. Knowing our parents are in a safe and comfortable home during Dad’s recovery means so much. Janna Smith (daughter of patient), Kentucky
A restful night before surgery…so close to RiverBend hospital…
Since my surgery is this morning, Jerry and I enjoyed a quiet, restful night in this wonderful Visitor’s Haven. Jerry will stay again tonight because I need to spend the night at Sacred Heart RiverBend hospital. So this is a short stay, but what a blessing to have all this comfort and space so close… Read more “A restful night before surgery…so close to RiverBend hospital…”

...staying at a home that is designed to help calm, comfort, and nurture the total well-being of patients and caregivers before, during, and after the patient's medical treatment!
A Visitor's Haven is already known to do all of that, and more!
Nestled on the quiet circle of a cul de sac amongst only three other lovely homes, A Visitor’s Haven offers medical patients, their caregivers, and families privacy and safety in a friendly and supportive neighborhood. Located in Springfield, Oregon, A Visitor's Haven is only a few blocks from Sacred Heart RiverBend Hospital and only three miles to McKenzie-Willamette Hospital. The close proximity to the Springfield hospitals is vital when your loved one is in the hospital. Especially if you are urgently needed.
Escaping (a day earlier) from the everyday demands in their home surroundings, to indulge in the tranquility of a beautiful home filled with love, warmth, and care, guests feel the benefits when they first enter the Haven. Not having to worry about the long drive and possible traffic on the day of surgery is an added stress releaser. Enjoy the blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries bushes while sitting on the quaint patio in the small backyard. Enjoy your favorite music on Pandora (through the television), or strum the guitar, while relaxing on the comfy recliners, with candles flickering. Your choices are many while enjoying your Haven away from home. Once surrounded by the Haven's peaceful ambiance, guests quickly realize their reservation was far more than just renting a place to stay. When a patient is required to stay in Springfield after being discharged, A Visitor's Haven helps heal patients quicker than doctor's expectations.
So you know... AV Haven's (college student) housekeeper approached management stating that she she loved how A Visitor's Haven llc is helping others. In her effort to help guests, she wanted the housekeeping job to clean the AV Haven before each guest's arrival. She does an awesome job exceeding the demands of an exceptional clean Haven. This demonstrates some of the care for AV Haven guests, that comes from behind the scenes.
A Visitor’s Haven is a spacious, clean 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, custom home built in 2005, available to accommodate from one to six adults. This beautiful home was purchased and designed with a mission to comfort out-of-town patients, their caregivers, and families, before, during, and after their loved one's surgery or treatments. Unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible.
The Main Floor
The master suite located on the first floor has an adjustable Sleep Number California king bed, as well it’s own computer desk. Its private bathroom includes double sinks and a soaking tub for you to relax during stressful times (with epson salts awaiting you). Two safety bars were installed in the shower for your loved one’s stability while recovering.
A half-bath is located on the first floor, insuring your private usage of the master bathroom. Fresh clean linens include quality sheets and towels for six people.
The spacious great room offers you comfort with all leather, reclining furniture. You can use the large smart television, or relax in the ambiance of a gas fireplace. There is a desk with a USB hookup in both the great room and dining room, as well as one in each of the three bedrooms.
The open kitchen filled with all your cooking and baking needs, has a large pantry, a sliding door to the quaint, private patio that adjoins the dining room. The dining room table seats six comfortably and the computer desk can be used in lieu of the ones located in each bedroom, or the great room.
During warmer weather one can enjoy the gas grill, while sitting at the glass patio table, shaded by its umbrella.
The Second Floor
The second floor has a full bathroom and two good-sized bedrooms with very comfortable queen beds, walk-in closets, and your personal desk with USB hookup. One of the bedrooms has a futon that folds to a full mattress in addition to the queen bed.
There is a new washer and dryer in the laundry room, and a garage to park your car with a garage door opener.
Each door has keyless locks for added security, privacy, safety, and comfort. There are smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and carbon monoxide meter on both floors, as well as a first-aid kit, and so much more.
Since two of the Bedrooms are upstairs with its own bathroom, one person living on the main floor alone, would not feel the home is too large. At the same time, the spacious size and layout of the entire home, assures three to six people plenty of space to share.
